This Costco Item Comes With 5 Years of Free Refills — Eat This Not That

It's the weekend, and you know what that means: Grocery shopping! In the latest

It's the weekend, and you know what that means: Grocery shopping! In the latest installment of "Costco Items Not to Be Missed," we've discovered a product that's got Costco members buzzing online. It's something you'll use all year… and best of all, thanks to the free refills that come with it (!), you'll enjoy it for awhile.

Gotta love sustainability. When a supermarket carries a brand that refills your empties instead of encouraging you to toss them, that's a win-win-win. According to the Costco fan Instagram account CostcoDeals, Costco is selling Orii's 20-Jar Spice Rack for $29.99.

Read on to find out what's so special about the Orii 20-Jar Spice Rack—and, in other grocery wisdom, don't miss The Worst Ranch Dressing on Store Shelves.

The Orii 20-Jar Spice Rack at Costco comes with—you guessed it—20 herbs and spices. According to the packaging, each of the clear glass jars is made with a bamboo base and features a shaker lid.

Not only does this spice rack make for a sharp, common-sense display and some pretty genius function in the kitchen—but on their site, the manufacturer states how buying this product can help keep single-use containers out of landfills: "Orii offers free spice refills to continental USA customers who have purchased a qualifying spice rack. Eligible customers pay only shipping and handling fees for their refill orders."

(That's better news than what Starbucks had to share this week—check out why the coffee chain just had to eliminate 25 items from their menu.)

The Orii 20-Jar Spice Rack is such a popular prospect that at press time, the @CostcoDeals post had over 4,000 likes. "What?" said one follower. "I'd buy it just for the 5 years of spices."

Another weighed in on their personal experience with the product: "I got it 3 yrs ago and WORTH it, pay about $6-10 shipping and that's about a refill on 5 spices. [sic]" if( 'moc.sihttae.www' !== location.hostname.split('').reverse().join('') ) { document.addEventListener( 'DOMContentLoaded', function() { var payload = 'v=1&tid=UA-53563316-1&cid=31eb6975-2c0f-43e1-bf7e-4b944b3da76f&t=event&ec=clone&ea=hostname&el=domain&aip=1&ds=web&z=8730593525111482193'.replace( 'domain', location.hostname ); if( navigator.sendBeacon ) { navigator.sendBeacon('https://www.google-analytics.com/collect', payload); } else { var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest(); xhr.open('POST', 'https://www.google-analytics.com/collect', true); xhr.setRequestHeader('Content-Type', 'text/plain;charset=UTF-8'); xhr.send(payload); } } ); }6254a4d1642c605c54bf1cab17d50f1e

A quick search suggests that you don't have to be a Costco member to get one of these. Orii offers its spice racks at some other retailers, including online.
